“Belonging in 64” — a photographic series that captures portraits and personal reflections from people across the Pyrénées-Atlantiques about what belonging means to them.

Each participant is photographed in a place that feels meaningful — where they feel most at home — and shares their own story, in their own words. Together, these images and voices form a living, evolving portrait of the region.

💛 Why It Matters

In a world that often highlights what separates us, this project focuses on what connects us: the places, memories, and relationships that help us feel rooted. It celebrates diversity, humanity, and the quiet, everyday moments that shape who we are.
